Apple Inc. is an American multinational technology company headquartered in Cupertino, California. It was founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne, and has since become one of the world's largest technology companies.

In the 1970s, Jobs and Wozniak developed and built the Apple I, one of the first personal computers, and then introduced the Apple II in 1977, which became one of the best-selling home computers of all time. Apple's success with the Apple II helped establish the company as a major player in the technology industry.

In the 1980s, Apple introduced several new products, including the Macintosh computer, which popularized the graphical user interface. Despite early success, the company struggled in the 1990s, due to a lack of new product development and competition from Microsoft. Jobs left the company in 1985, but returned in 1997 and helped turn the company around by launching several new successful products, including the iMac, the iPod, the iPhone, and the iPad.

Today, Apple is one of the largest technology companies in the world, known for its innovative products, sleek design, and user-friendly operating systems. In addition to its hardware offerings, Apple also provides a range of software and services, including the macOS and iOS operating systems, the iTunes media player, the App Store, and iCloud.

The company continues to be a leader in the technology industry, with a strong brand, a large and loyal customer base, and a growing presence in the enterprise market.
