매년 발표를 하는 데이터 같은데 23년 탑 100 글로벌 혁신기업 리스트가 있어 가져와보았다. 해당 리스트는 클래리베이트 애널리틱스(Clarivate Analytics)라는 곳에서 만드는 데이터이고, 매년 특허 등록 건수, 기업의 영향력, 글로벌 시장성, 등 지표를 활용하여 글로벌 탑 100 혁신기업을 발표하고 있다고 한다.
일단 23년에 선정된 Top 100 글로벌 혁신기업의 리스트를 받아서 쭉 한번 정리해보았다. 일단 미국기업들이 가장 먼저 눈에 띄는데(내가 정렬을 그렇게 했..), 3M, 구글, 어플라이드, 보잉, 포드, 존슨앤존슨, 피앤지 등 익숙한 기업들이 눈에 들어온다.
대만도 TSMC를 필두로 꽤 많은 기업이 탑 100에 속했고, 한국의 경우에는 현대자동차, 기아자동차, LG, 삼성, SK 5개 기업이 선정되었다. 우리가 생각하는 한국의 대기업이 선정되었다고 보시면 될 듯 하다.

그리고 또 놀란 부분은 바로 일본 기업들인데, 나는 당연히 미국기업이 제일 많을 것으로 예상했지만.. 실제로는 일본기업이 탑100에 가장 많이 속해있음을 볼 수 있었다 ㄷㄷ 우리에게도 익숙한 캐논, 후지필름, 혼다, 히타치, 소니, 신에츠, 도쿄일렉트론, 도요타, 야마하 등 꽤 많은 기업이 탑 100에 속했다.

국가별로 분류를 해서 가져와보았는데, 일본기업이 탑100 기업중 무려 38개가 속하며 1위를 기록했고, 그 뒤로는 미국이 19개로 2위, 대만이 11개로 3위를 기록하였다~! 어떤 지표가 정확하게 쓰이는지는 모르지만 일단 글로벌 혁신기업이라고 하면 현재보다는 앞으로 더욱 성장세를 보일 수 있는 기업들이지 않을까 싶은데, 그러한 부문에서 일본기업이 가장 많은 비중을 차지하고 있다는 점은 여러모로 시사점이 있을 것 같다..
한국이 단기간에 일본을 따라잡은 분야도 많고, 그동안 정말 놀라운 성장을 이룬 것도 사실이지만 벌써 자화자찬하며 자만하기에는 아직 갈길도 멀다는 반증이 아닐까..??
